The band is mainly influenced from the 90's rock and the today's modern music. The melancholic song lyrics of the band are mostly about personal experiences including love, hope, hate, loneliness etc. Written in a poetic way.

The band's journey begins as the two guitar players Okan Sargin and Orkun Tuzel decided to form a band while they were students at the ITU Mech. Eng. Faculty. They built their own studio in a suburban district of Istanbul, Güzelyali, and started to record their projects as the drummer Sertan Sogukpinar joined the duo. Bass player Batu Orcal, who departed from the progressive rock band "comma", joined the band shortly after. After the band formed, it started giving concerts in and around Istanbul. In October 2002, ALT played at "Battle of the Bands Contest" which is made every year at Bogazici University and became the winner. Shortly after, the band released the demo called "Aç Kanatlarini-Open Your Wings" in November 2002. After the demo released, the band has reached to more listeners all around Turkey. After a period of playing at university fests and rock festivals such as H2000, Creamfields, Rockistanbul the band decided to record their first ep named "Ikinci Dönem-Second Term" which means the period after Aç Kanatlarini. Recording period of Ikinci Dönem started in January 2004. The period was long and painful. In this period Emir Khalilzadeh shot the first video of the band for the song "Siyah". The band parted its way with Batu at march 2005. They didn't played anywhere for one and a half year. After the recording period the band looked for a guy to mix the ep but they were unsuccesful so Okan and Orkun mixed the ep, then Burak from the band Replikas mastered it. Ikinci Dönem got ready to release at the end of 2005. At that period Kadir Keskin joined the band as the new bass player. After unsuccesful meetings with some record labels (none of them wanted to release a 6 song ep) the band decided to let everyone download the songs from www.altmosfer.com (as Aç Kanatlarini demo) after the decision, the band got no money but many listeners. Most of the comments were very good and motivating about Ikinci Dönem. Okan went to Burdur for his military service at april 2006, in those days Ömer Karaahmetoglu joined the band as the permanent guitarist and continued to play at the venues in Istanbul such as Peyote, Studio Live, Kadiköy Shaft. Within a few weeks Okan will start to play at ALT again and the band will focus on the its future projects...
