Rabies is determined by testing the brain matter. I didn't feel the video-taker was being cruel. They were cautious, but tossed a bit of apple to see if the fawn could focus enough to notice/or eat it. Seems to me like they were concerned and they did call the DNR. There is no cure for rabies...
