Alphonso Stewart has revealed himself to be a gifted artist and extraordinary singer-songwriter a versatile subtle lush, smooth, passionate voice to project a seductive ladies man vibe to rival Maxwell & Usher. Spanning an array of influences Alphonso has written and arranged songs that take the listener on a journey through different genres from rock and pop to R&B and soul. Alphonso emerged into the music scene singing in his uncle's gospel choir, 'Clive Brown & The Shekina Singers'. He was taught how to control his vocal cords and nurture his talent. During this time he appeared in 'Alpha Zone' a television programme showcasing young gospel talent, 'Songs of Praise' on the BBC, sung at London Arena and the Millennium Dome. Realising he was more than just a choir member and that he wanted to share his talent with the world he ventured out on his own. He has sung backing for various Artists such as: P Diddy, Jason Donovan, Anastasia, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Leona Lewis and Robert from the X Factor, Simply Red, Mariah Carey, Keane, and Chaka Khan in the Stage Play 'Mama, I want to sing'. As a solo artist his talent was acclaimed; MOBO representatives where impressed by his vocal ability and told him his "songs [written by himself] were of great quality". He has sung at various talent showcases always wooing his audience and winning fantastic prizes. Alphonso has worked with various established producers who have compiled hit tracks for group Liberty X, Romeo, Narda Michael Waden, and The Sugababes. Alphonso's records have had radio air play on Choice FM 96.9, Supreme FM 99.8, Flames FM 94.4, Ragga FM 99.6 and Urban FM internet radio.
Alphonso is used to performing to large audiences recently performing at the Olympics 2012 Handover ceremony and Nottinghill Carnival 2008. His past performances include singing at Princess Diana memorial concert, X Factor, Hackney Homes community events and other established events.
