"Thanks for the torpedo comment, I have 3 of them currently, and they are all starting to pop vibrant colors finally. I was concerned when I first got them, due to the red line being almost very short in length, almost absent, and/or faded. I guess people I inquired with were right, they get better with age.
Believe it or not, most of my videos are via my blackberry cell phone video option. All of my recent HD vids (like this specific video) are via a Fujifilm camera with a video option."

LONE MINI CRAB SURVIVOR - ALL OTHER MINI CRABS GONE!
I started almost a year ago with 7 Mini Crabs, 4 males/3 females. This clip shows some of the final footage from the final sole survivor of that group of animated characters. They were amazing to view with all of their antics. They were also, at times, stressful to endure, as they would attempt (and also at times succeed) to attack, kill, and eat some of their fish tank-mates. I guess with so many mini crabs in my aquarium I was actually pretty lucky to only lose 4 fish to their whims, and/or appetites. Sad to say, this final Female Mini Crab has now too been sent along to the big crab cake beyond. This clip is almost a week old, and before I could post it, she too has died. I could be mistaken, as I have not seen any evidence of her at all for a eek now, but that in itself leads me to believe she is indeed gone for good.
I have already obtained a Dwarf Bristlenose Pleco, and 2 Siamese Algae Eaters to assist with future tank cleaning issues. I will greatly miss the Mini Crabs, and may add more once my smaller fish grow up a bit more. If anyone is looking for an entertaining addition to their own tank... I highly suggest the Mini Crabs. They are great fun to observe. If you do, be sure to seal all escape routes, as they will find them if they are available for them to do so. My solution was to seal all possible exit points with packaging tape.

Bad news, my biggest (and my final) Male Mini Crab has now died. I am now down to only one more Mini Crab... a female one. She is the sole remaining Mini Crab from my original seven crabs, from almost one year ago. This footage shows te exoskeleton remains from my last Male Mini Crab being consumed by some of the tank's other fish residents. So goes the cycle of life in the freshwater fish world. By consuming much of the exoskeleton in this way, they obtain some needed calcium. When mini crabs molt, they will also do this same thing with their own shed outer layers.
Now, it is almostime to move ahead with previous plans of obtaining a Pleco to assist with some of the tank's maintenance issues. The mini crabs have thus far forced me to refrain from adding a Pleco, after the last attempt to do resulted in a female mini crab attacking, killing, and partially eating that small Pleco. Once the final Mini Crab (the female remaining) is gone, I will add a Pleco, and possibly an algae eater of two as well.
