Zig Zags on the Straight Path
The Path of Tasawwuf (Sufism) is not alien to Islam -- it is based on and contains all of the teachings of Islam. During the last 100 years particularly, those who have a bias against Islam have almost succeeded in convincing the world and even most Muslims that Sufism is something separate from Islam. Some have even gone so far as to say that you can attain enlightenment without God. Religious law is the foundation that we build our spiritual house on -- in order to have a solid house, your foundations must also be solid.
