Allen Lucas is a native of Sta.Maria, Bulacan where the great Kundiman composer, Francisco Santiago was born. His parents Belindo B. Lucas and Helen E. Lucas noticed his ability in guitar playing during his high school years when he learned playing the guitar with his friends. At first, he was contented with just strumming the chords of popular music using guitar books. He took up Computer Science at AMA Computer University and after a semester, he enrolled at The Yamaha School of Music for one year where he learned all the basic information about music and classical guitar. He then transferred to The Philippine Women's University School of Music in 1999 to further harness his ability in guitar playing.
As a guitarist, he was a featured performer on "Guitar Canapé" held on September 19, 2001 at PWU School of Music. He was a guest performer at The Philippine Normal University during their annual Rondalla Concert held February 28, 2006 and in numerous guitar recitals at the PWU School of Music. Aside from playing guitar, Allen also plays an assortment of Philippine traditional instruments as a member of the PWU-Philippine Music Ensemble. He has performed with the group at the Concert at the Park, Luneta, The St. Cecilia's Hall for the group's 20th year anniversary concert last Dec. 4, 2002 and at the CCP Little Theater during the 9th Sound of Korea Concert held last March 26, 2003. Allen attended the master class of classical guitarist Dr. Angelito Agcaoili and a former member The Philippine Women's University at Present Allen is one of the Pioneer member of The Metropolitan Guitar Ensemble
