All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, the Most Merciful, the Most Forgiving, the Most Generous, the Controller of the hearts and gazes, the All-Knowing of that which is open and that which is hidden. We praise Him with a praise that is eternal; seek his help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allah from the evils of our souls and wrong doings of our actions. Whosoever Allah guides there is none who can lead him astray and whosoever He misguides there is none who can guide him alright.

Thus, to proceed, the purpose of this work is to present the authentic teachings of Islam. We do not present any specific version or unique interpretation of Islam. We present Islam as it is, without sugarcoating, and I follow it to stand on its own merits. There is only one Islam and only one example of how it is to be lived that of the Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Our intention is to provide a basic overview of the main tenets of Islam as given in the Koran and as exemplified by the Prophet. We also intend to address some of the commonly asked questions about Islam. Despite the fact that over one-fifth of the worlds population is Muslim, Islam is often misunderstood and misrepresented in contemporary western societies. It is hoped that this work will help shed light on Islam as it was divinely communicated to Prophet Muhammad (may Allah peace and blessings be upon him) and dispel any commonly held misconceptions that perpetuate prejudice and hatred. We created this page in the hope that people of all faiths will join us in making this world of tolerance, kindness, understanding, and peace. At last, all praise and thanks are due to Allah who has guided us to the straight path, and made us among those who obey Him, and has honored us with Islam and guided us to faith. All praise and thanks are due to our Lord who facilitated completing this work. And may Allah reward all the Muslims who helped and supported this effort in any way. We ask Allah to make this humble effort a source of guidance for those who seek enlightment and fruitful to the Muslims and those to come (in Allah's will), forgive our shortcomings, purify our work from hypocrisy and conceit, and accept it from us. Our Lord, forgive us and all of the believers, and bestow Your peace and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad (may Allah peace and blessings be upon him).
