Alisha Pillay is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter from Vancouver, BC. At the early age of seven, Alisha began taking dance, piano and voice lessons. Music quickly became her passion and, with great determination to improve and expand her abilities, she began writing her own songs by age ten.

Some of Alisha's achievements to date include winning David Foster's Opportunity of a Lifetime Contest, the Shaw Star Discovery contest, and most recently, a scholarship to acclaimed Berklee College of Music. Alisha has also been fortunate to share the stage with Josh Groban, Renee Olstead and Sarah McLachlan. Most recently, Alisha was the winner of Pitbull Promotions "Radioactive" songwriting competition. Alisha's debut single "Convicted" (which she co-wrote) is now playing on radio stations across Canada!

Alisha is an exceptionally versatile writer, dabbling in R&B, Pop and Hip Hop. Alisha has been working on a number of songwriting collaborations with various writers and producers, including Hip Joint (Kelly Rowland "Unity), Alisha "M'Jestie" Brooks (Rihanna "Pon de Replay") and the Underdogs (Chris Brown, Jordan Sparks, Jennifer Hudson, Nick Lachey, Whitney Houston among many others). Alisha is currently working on her album and hopes to have it out in mid-late 2010.
