Inspired by first generation DJ/Re-mixers Francois K, Larry Levan, David Mancuso, Larry Paterson and others; I began DJ'ing around 1979, I was 13 years old. In the deepest belief of my heart, I've always believed that all music comes from the same-drum...??!Jour-neyer!??...one of the many use-less words of description & separation we've created...for as long as I can remember; every-1's been looking to call it this, that and all kinds of other stuff...through all the looking; one truth stands strongly in my mind, music is absolutely every-where!!!...and people dance all over the world!!! The music that comes thru me (whether I'm playing it, making it, or dancin to it) explores all music; new and old together, soul, salsa, rock, jazz, classical, pun-jab, reggae, Japanese, Turkish, Hip-Hop, Arabian, Brazilian, Indo-jazz, R&B, Bengali, pop, Russian, 50's to present, dance and everything in between from almost every continent on earth. My mix is to coax people into realizing no matter what you call it, "it all comes from the same drum".
