What you're doing is Wrong. You give away that you feel it with your inflections.

Keep in mind this is the USA puritanical culture - most of us round-eyes can't enjoy something if we have not been taught that it is wrong. Maybe we've worn off on you. So stay wrong, for maximum life enjoyment.

It's your very intense eyes/look. one could suspect you're an alien or from some master race or something. very intimidating. easy to invoke feelings of inadequacy.
