Just my opinion, but she qualifies as your typical basic Hmong beauty - a natural and wholesome Hmong character. It just depends on what criteria one is making/basing their judgement on etc.

Agreed. I have yet to see Ayou make any public appearances, within China or overseas, not dressed in her traditional attire - of one style or another. She's obviously a grounded and proud individual - especially of her people, culture, and heritage. She's a strong role-model/symbol for all of us ...

The Vietnamese literally took the term Miao from the Chinese to form Meo in indentifying the same group of people known in Thailand, Laos, and the West as Hmong. I don't believe the Vietnamese did it intentionally or maliciously. They just re-interpreted the Chinese term - Miao.
