Very interestingly, the narrator is Douglas Edwards of CBS News. He anchored a 15-minute weeknightly newscast on CBS-TV starting on 3 May 1948 trough 13 April 1962, succeeded by Walter Cronkite. His program often used newsreel material in its early years. This is a curious reversal.
