Now Refn's "Drive" is one of my favorite movies and its great retro soundtrack has led me to discover these other bands. "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" had a similar impact on me. ...

@thrashman2001 I think it's more post punk since it was released right in early 80's. New Wave happened in the mid 80's.

Refn's use of licensed songs to score a film is right up there with Scorcese's. If I was a film director, I'd be just like those two chaps. I just like the idea of seeing certain scenes with a song rather than just music.
