My life was rubbish
downtrodden for years
why was i born a boy
why was I in tears
I was teased at school
beaten black and blue
used to get myself in trouble
no one had a clue
even up until twenty-eight
didn't have the guts
i had to transition
there were too many buts
i was loved by my mother
no matter what no matter how
i would rather wear make up
and curtsy not bow
once i decided enough was enough
transition I did
i wish i was younger
even a kid
life is now better
life is great
i forget my past
and don't take the bait
It could of been harder
like our sisters in North East
who are scared to wear skirts
due to being bullied and teased
As far as Im concerned
thats the scerge of the uk nation
I am glad that these people
are not of any relation
I am worried for my friends
the bigots cannot win
they're stupid stupid hatred
is abnormal and not a kin
they need to realise
trans people are here to stay
and not to ask stupid questions
like are you bloody gay
