Hi. J.J Rocket. I apologise if I have hurt your feelings; this was not my intention. I assume that it was the bit about that particular rendition of yours missing 'soul'. This is a very mild comment, and I am surprised that you saw it in a negative way. If it was said about any vocal efforts of m...

Hi Chuckychanz. More influential than anything that happened in the 60s eh? I would say Holly had not peaked and his life was cut short before he could. More influential than Dylan, Pink Flloyd, Ray Charles, Presley and Roy Orbison? All of whom rose to fame in the 1960s.

I always though Duane Eddy used a baritone guitar. The deep notes on the early 60s tracks were surely not played on a standard Gretsch?

OK, but the point I was really trying to make is that the vid' showed atrocities from the past when Obama for example, was a teenager, and the older events shown cannot fairly be connected to "the US government' as the personalities around now may not even have been born when they were happening....
If you are going to argue that "jazz is just as good as rock'n'roll" as you put it, then count me out. It would be like arguing whether red or blue is the better colour. However, having said that I am not a great fan of this song by Eddie.
