About Me:

I am a SAHM who enjoys meeting/ talking/ getting advice from other moms. I vlog about my experiences with my son, Augustine (3yrs +), who receives Early Intervention Special Education classes for Sensory Issues, Feeding Issues and a Speech Delay. Augustine was diagnosed with PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder- Not Otherwise Specified OR "Atypical Autism") in August 2011.

I hope you will be patient as this is something I did not think I would ever do because I am really not computer savy. But, I have met some other great utube moms here who have inspired me to want to share my story so that other moms with similar issues may have the courage to share their stories. And, so that we may use this place as a forum to receive advice, share advice, support each other and meet some great people :)

Also, I talk a lot about alternative health options in my videos and I want to state the obvious, I am not a doctor and I do believe in alternative health approaches BUT I do believe if you are interested then you should talk to a doctor or nutritionist before making any lifestyle changes.

Hi I just suscribed today just wanted to know how someone else with a child diagnosed with pdd can relate to my situation. My son will be 3 in march and was diagnosed in november of last year, therefore has only been receiving thrapy for less than 3 months. Already I've noticed a great deal of improvement in his speach as well as his behavior. Makes me feel guilty sometimes that I didn't express my concerns before but it is what it is. I do have a question though, I heard you say that your sons therapy are not at your home and I was wondering if that's something that I can request since my son's is at home but he is easily distracted here. Sorry if this message is way too long. :)

Yeah, ive heard good things about it...i just dont want to overwhelm him with so many activities at once. we will see how therapies go once we get him up and going in speech and OT going and see if he can handle another day or 2 or therapy. How often does your son have therapy?
lissao85 (1 month ago)
Yes my son was getting speech and OT when we were in Texas but we recently moved because my husband is in the army and we are just getting established right now. Hopefully we can get him back into therapy quickly. I believe we are going to add on ABA therapy and maybe some feeding therapy because meal times are definitely an issue! My son is also non verbal....i mean he tried but he is more hand over hand because that works better for him to just pull us to what he wants rather than try to say it.
