Versione animata del sacro poema epico indiano "Ramayana" che narra le vicende di Rama avatar del dio Viṣṇu.
Questo film è una coproduzione indo giapponese e nei suoi oltre 120min è piuttosto fedele al plot del poema, anche se ci sono piccole inesattezze.
Circola anche una pessima versione del 2000 di soli 97min (Prince of Light) ottenuta dal montaggio di questa che stravolge la trama originale e la renda piu "avventura disneyana"! Questa versione doppiata in inglese indiano è meno riuscita della ottima versione originale hindi, eccellente dal punto di vista recitativo e del dramma :( .

This anime by Yugo Sako is the animated version of the great indian epic "Ramayana".

This english version of over 120 min is different from the anime "The prince of light" always by Yugo Sako (Japan/USA/India - 2000-01) of only 97min, and the story is closer to the original plot of the "Ramayana". This version dubbed in indian english in not good such the excellent original hindi version :( .
