The core issue and the real problem is Sufism.
MGAQ is comparatively only a minor irritant. Reading his books and comparing his life with any Messenger or Prophet of God makes it quite clear.
Yes MGAQ did make multiple claims while EVERY Messenger and Prophet of God looked straight into the eyes of their Umma and made one and only one claim. They refused to dilute their message due to opposition or persecution because they had no choice. In other words, they didn't go through roughly a dozen stages of self-promotion like Sufis. MGAQ may even have claimed to be the God if he lived any longer although some claim that in a way he did that too!
