Today's idiots need to all move to a deserted island on another planet and kill each other off (or something...) - it's a vicious cycle when the "norm" is to write crappy music and foist it upon a jillio...

strangely enough, it was about 18 years between the Cooper original and this excellent cover-Hurricane did a great job of giving it thier sound, Kelly is indeed a great and underrated singer, and the use of groovy little organ breaks was what really caught me by surprise --they are one of a numbe...

so much a classic standard of my childhood that i am always trying to memorize the lyrics - they don't write them like this anymore, and they never will again...

good enough, but sounds pretty basic (and a lot slower...) compared to The Great Buddy Rich - maybe she will be as good in another 20 years...

can't remember what i wrote the last time i saw this vid, but it gets more amazing each time !! - whether Rich was "original" or not, i still haven't seen anyone, live or studio, that had or has his abilities - until the next Mozart of the drums comes along, he will remain a one-time freak of nat...

@TheBabyboomkidof53 you have provided one of the better descriptions of what folks call "music" these days - none of this new stuff is danceable , and what talent is out there is being disguised by too much bass and bad lyrics

ahh,yezzz...1993-the end of the last true HM era,and DP sent it out w/ a bang - terrific song, kick-ass lyrics --- this should be at the end of all young musician's required listening list (1966-1993) when they are learning what HM should sound like

wow,wow-WOW !! She was just so insanely talented - love the vibrato fluxes at the end - they don't teach control like that anymore -- makes me glad i started collecting them in 1966 when i first heard "Georgy Girl" as a little boy and knew i was listening to something special

probably mentioned it on the other posting, but can't help but like the distant vocals - they actually make this song very unique & empahsize the incredible background melodies even more - a very,very pretty song that i find myself playing at least once a week
