Just listen to the rich depth of Ronnie's voice. He loved Dublin just as any real Irish person who has visited the wonderful city does. The Rare Old Times are still existent in Dublin.

There will never be another Ronnie Drew......I believe that he is in heaven drinking Guiness with Luke Kelly.

And it's home boys home. Home for me is Ireland and I don't care whether it is part of thr UK or not......the point is, it should be united...The Irish, north or south, are the most wonderful people in the world.

If you have never been to Ireland and you love the Irish you should go to Ireland and visit Belfast and Dublin. The country should be united and celebrate Chrisitiainity, Who care whether they are part of the UK or not? The point is they are Irish and as such are wonderful people,

You can leave home, as I did 35 years ago, but you can never get home out of your soul. And as time goes by one forgets the negative and amplfies the positive. Then you find the sad reality: You can't go home. I've tried and I know.

I've just listened to the Pecker's version and I must disagree, the Pecker, great as he may be, does not have the deeo gravelly voice that Ronnie has.

No one could sing this like Ronnie and if they did no one would listen to it. Ronnie they broke the mould after they made you..... there will never be another Ronnie Drew. I hope you are up there having a guinness with Luke Kelly.

Luke you left us far too soon, but what a legacy you left. Thank you Luke, I'm sure you're in Heaven, not on a cloud playing a harp but drinking a guinness and singing in a pub.

This was Pavarotti's song...I've just listened to Andrea Bocelli and the remarkable rendition by Paul Potts but Luciano's is the best.

I remember when this song was released, it was and still is one of the most haunting songs ever performed. Great talent exceptional lyrics.

Saw Georgie at the Tottenham Court Royal and the Flamingo Club in the early 60's...he is good but great live.

Georgie Fame used to perform at Tottenham Court Royal in the early 60's. There was a revolving band stand and on the other side was the Jeff Rowena Seven who were the favorites at the time. Not mine I always preferred Georgie.

Zoot used to play at a club in Westcliff back in the early 60's and I can tell you he is even better live...something gets lost in the recordings.
