We used to have a cat and two golden retrievers before we got our heeler. And the cat would sit there and groom one of the goldens for HOURS - she'd bat at and thwap the other one if he even looked at her.

Cattle dog puppy likes the hose
Anytime the hose is on, this little cattle dog is ready to play. She doesn't care if it's hot or cold, early or late. Water is always fun!

My heeler (she's red and blue mix) does the exact same thing when you turn on a hose... you have to make sure she's left inside if you're trying to set up a sprinkler...
it's funny as heck to watch her jump and chase the water as it comes from the hose...
