A strategic communication & media professional. He was Honoured as the Young Global Leader 2010 by the World Economic Forum for his work on initiatives to improve the state of media and its co-relation with development issues.

He is the CEO for Mishal (P.) Ltd. and has launched the flagship program for Pakistan's media development by bringing press clubs & journalist's associations on a common platform to identify gaps in issues impacting society. The initiative has brought more than 20,000 professionals together to understand the socio, economic and political challenges and their impact.

He is also Advisor to the Stanford Center of Innovation and Communication at the Stanford University on Journalism and Media. The Festival of Media, Valencia ranked him among the top 10 media personalities in the world.

Most recently he was the CEO for SAMAA TV, the first satellite news channel providing live transmission simultaneously from various cities in Pakistan and UAE.

Various initiatives of Jahangir have earned him and the organizations he has worked with numerous awards at national as well as international forums.

Earlier he has been part of the launch team of the Competitiveness Support Fund, a joint initiative of USAID and the Govt. of Pakistan. He worked on the mid-to long-term media development strategy for Pakistan as incharge of the Innovation Journalism Program. He also managed Pakistan's partnership with the Global Competitiveness Network of the World Economic Forum and earned the title of the most innovative strategist for developing a comprehensive strategy for collecting soft data on Pakistan.

He was also on the forefront of the media industry in Pakistan as the CEO for Telebiz and the founding CEO for Vision Network Television Limited, CNBC Pakistan.

Amir has been associated with various research & consultancy firms as a strategic communications consultant and analyst on sectors including telecom, media, ICT & other socio-economic issues.
