Armando Braswell is a professional dancer from Brooklyn, NY. While attending LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, he also trained at The School of American Ballet and The Ailey School. Upon graduating, Armando was accepted to The Juilliard School and received his B.F.A. in Dance in 2006. During his time at The Juilliard School, he was a soloist with The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and also performed with many freelance choreographers in New York.

In June 2006, Armando moved to Germany to dance with Ballet Theater Munich in the company's last season under the direction of Philip Taylor. In October 2007, Armando became a founding member of Gauthier Dance, the new resident company at Theaterhaus Stuttgart in Germany. Armando has danced ballets by Eric Gauthier, William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Hans Van Manen, Paul Lightfoot/Sol León, Mauro Bigonzetti, Christian Spuck, Phillip Taylor, Richard Alston, George Balanchine, Elliot Feld, José Limón, Carolyn Carlson, and Francesco Nappa.

Aside from his dancing career, Armando is also an aspiring choreographer. Armando's ballets have been featured in numerous festivals and competitions such as
The International Competition for Choreographers in Hannover
The International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival in Stuttgart,
The 2009 Tanzwelten Festival at the Staatstheater Braunschweig
The Noverre-Gesellschaft Evening with the Stuttgart Ballet.
