About this user

I run the Content group for a media company in the electronic components industry, but the rest of the time I'm living and breathing the bass. I've been playing for over 20 years and can't see me stopping any time soon. I've played rock, metal, jazz, blues, and funk/jazz, and pretty much love anything with a solid groove.

Recently I've been chosen to try out a new rig from TC Electronic, the RH450. I chose one 2x10 and one 2x12 cab to pound on. My main mission is to determine if this rig can supplant my current setup of a MarkBass LMII (or G-K MB2-500) with Schroeder Mini 12's. With the built in compression, tube emulation and tuner it would be interesting to see if it could also replace $300 worth of pedals as well... stay tuned.

My current band is "Cocktail Joe & the Beer Nuts". We're just about ready to gig in the southern New England area, playing covers from the 70's through today along the lines of Alice in Chains, STP, Matchbox 20, Doobie Brothers, Pearl Jam, Fuel, Sublime, and many others. Our twist is that we have an acoustic (sometimes jazzy) feel without losing the groove.
