Only a kitten could make a teenager put their mobile down that quickly. How lovely, it's clear she adores him. It's also nice to see a kitten given as a present to someone older than 5.

My feeling is it is better to buy a child an animal when they are old enough to feed it and clean up after it. If a toddler can't do it then it's really your animal not theirs.
