About Me:

As you enter the Aisha Foodista Channel prepare to take your senses on a vacation. Together we'll explore different cultures, restaurants, and cuisines and I'll hip you to the how's and why's. I was born in VA Beach, VA & moved to Atl, GA when I was 16 to attend The Atlanta International School & pursue my passion for languages. I studied French, Spanish, Portuguese,Arabic, & Japanese. I love all languages but I had the most fun with Japanese, yea Kanjii kicked my butt. In Virginia, I spent time with my Grandma Ramos making all types of Asian cuisine, including her native Philipino food. At home my parents made a wide range of cuisines. My Dad is from the Maghreb region so he'd make North African, Mediterranean fare. My Mom is from Nashville, TN she'd make Southern, Soul food. My parents had a catering company and would make the most beautiful wedding cakes. I always loved to help make those incredible confections. My personal experience includes working in restaurants, taking classes with world-renowned Chefs and attending the Ritz Escoffier Culinary School in Paris. All of these experiences helped make me who I am, a Foodista, a stylish, savvy, International woman who celebrates all aspects of life from food to culture. Stay tuned for more adventures. Peace,Love,& Happy Eating
