American Hindu World Service (AHWS) is an organization that was created in 2008 to provide international humanitarian services to individuals around the world. Its goals are to educate the American public and the world on the Hindu faith-based perspectives of service pertaining to global health and international development.

AHWS is now a newly registered American NGO under the 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.

AHWS aims to create an organization to promote, educate and advocate on Hindu faith-based service initiatives. AHWS aims to work with other religious communities involving Interfaith issues.

The mission of American Hindu World Service (AHWS) is to render service for the well being of people across the globe without any discrimination on the grounds of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender and religion. We aim to uphold and create awareness about the values of charity, tolerance, compassion and peace as embedded in Hindu philosophy.

* To provide international humanitarian services to people of all races, classes, and ethnic groups, including indigenous groups, HIV/AIDS patients, and marginalized groups from all over the world

* To dedicate in serving the poorest of the poor and helping to alleviate social ills - poverty, hunger, and disease through progressive programs and sustainable development

* To promote human rights and justice to people of all races, backgrounds, religious faiths, and ethnic communities

Hinduism accepts and respects polytheism, monotheism, agnosticism, atheism, panentheism, pantheism, and henotheism. As Hindus, we are obligated to respect everyone's beliefs and opinions. Hinduism does NOT engage in proselytizing or conversion activities, as this is traditionally not permitted or allowed.

As long as an individual's heart is committed to service, AHWS welcomes individuals of all backgrounds, religious faiths, races, and classes. Therefore, AHWS does not promote or condone missionary work under any circumstances or on any grounds.
