I have so far learnt the whole alphabet and can poorly construct basic words. I just need to purchase a book that is more direct so to say in teaching the phoenician language to avoid massive amounts of research, but I am confused, I want to ask did you have a specific book that helped you please send if you can. But I can assure that my phoenician tongue is doing well and maybe one day in the future we can skype to communicate and you can help me ;). Peace be upon you! I am deeply ashamed by the current dramatic events in the so called Arabo-Islamic world that I kind-of belong to! All is somehow the result of this civilisation of fear, hatred, oppression and violence that emanated from the Arabic Peninsula 14 centuries ago! What a shame when a Jewish young man's value is equivalent to thousands of Arabo-Muslims and when the body of a leader that was once worshipped as a god is ostentated while thousands jubilate in the streets like hyenas. There is no salvation to this Arabo-Islamic world except through the light of Christ!

My thoughts and prayrers go to the victims of the ongoing persecution of the Christians in Egypt and to their families and Friends! May those of Goodwill in Egypt and elsewhere intervene to stop this grave injustice!

'scholars' are clueless about its etimology but we can easily trace it to the 'Greek' deity -'Semele'' - the mother of Dionysus - the deity of drunkennes.. 'Semele' originates in Hebrew word for all the Left, and all sorts of evil doing -'SMOL', which meaning gets clearer by checking it via the Arabic word 'THAMAL' - for 'intoxication/drunkenness', (the Arabic letter ''Tha'' in 'Thamal' = the Hebrew letter 'Sin' in 'Smol', like in 'Thalatha' = 'Shalosh'). Thus we've clarified both, the correct etimology of the 'French' word 'Sommelier'.. and of the 'Greek' deity 'Semele' : )...
