@PankrationWarrior Actually, it is exactly about street fighting. That's what the manuals were writing about. The combat technique show here is quite specifically self-defence designed for situations such as pub brawling. Fully armoured fighting in mass-combat is very different.

@demomanchaos From personal experience, fencing Rapier single sword against Rapier and Rotella isn't as one-sided as you would imagine, at least for fencers of only a year or two experience. It's hard for the person with the Rotella not to be driven to a mistake e.g. blocking his own line of sigh...
