Howdy! I'm Emily, twenty, and find song writing cathartic. I play just enough guitar to get by, am loud as can be, and thoroughly enjoy being myself regardless of what it may cost me.

It's a hard idea and sometimes a hard concept to grasp why I share what I feel, what I say, what I do. It's a good thing I'm not a at all shy because sometimes I fear people see right through what I'm writing.
Sometimes I feel many people don't see this side of me until they read or listen. But no one's invincible to feeling something, anything. Especially not me. And so it's like: this is my heart in a song.
Like, maybe they can tell it's about them, or maybe they know what I'm going through, or maybe they just have no clue, but lotsa times I think that can be the best part too.
Cause when people tell me they like something, or that they relate, it's incredibly rewarding, because I know I'm not alone anymore.
I love that feeling.
