I have an 88 chevy G20 350 V8, the water pump was starting to go bad I learned that if I put a cap full of brake fluid (no more) in it it would help swell up the water pump gaskets and buy me some time while i save up the cash to replace the pump. I did it and it sealed up fairly well and lasted ...

Most rigs have an axle interlock system, kind of like a 4 wheel drive but it actuates the far rear axle to drive out... why didn't he think of that? (If he had one that is)
