About After-School All-Stars
The mission of After-School All-Stars (ASAS) is to provide comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and in life. As a leading national organization that provides year-round, school-based, comprehensive after-school programs to disadvantaged youth, we offer activities that equip them with the skills and experiences needed to become productive members of the 21st century workforce.
ASAS was founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1992, and has grown to serve 80,000 children annually across our 13 chapters; 87 percent of our participants come from families of poverty. Our programs are located on school-sites to provide a strong link to the regular school day, staffed by well-prepared and dedicated instructors, and offer a combination of academic, enrichment and physical fitness activities.
