Actually, in video/16:9 mode the GH2 is a 1.8 crop, so the 300mm is a 540mm lens. The Canon is a 1.6 crop so a 400mm lens is a 640mm lens. In effect the Canon is 100mm longer! as shown.

LUMIX GH2 Touch-AF test during video recording
This video is recorded with F1.7 Pancake lenses. Auto focus is changed by Touch-function from the front, then mid , to the back.
