I have the led lenser p7, p14, p17 and now the x21 as I use them for security work.

The p17 is very good but the x21 is awesome at deterring thieves from trying get on roofs or break into buildings with no working lights.

i bought this kit from torchsite website. its quite good... not sure what the allen key/wrench is for as it was not needed to install or run it as a Maglite SAR (Search and Rescue).

I have 2x P7's both with numbers on - (serial number???) one bought in uk from a shop and one bought from hong kong via ebay.

i prefer my led lenser P14 and P17 though and only use a P7 as a backup on my belt for emergency use.

chain cropping is cutting through the chain with bolt cutters (or bolt croppers as they are often known), either manual or hydraulic, as cropping is also refered to as shortening, i presume this is what captain cropper is talking about.

I just remove the cardboard tube and press the exposed inside tape together to make it stuck together from the inside, works great for electrical tape and once the cardboard tube is removed from duct tape, it can be folded when needed.

But might try re rolling like that if I need to.
