中天新聞》有民眾投訴，一名男子帶狗搭乘火車，不但沒有依法將狗­放在寵物箱，還放任狗在車廂內奔跑，更誇張的是讓狗坐在旁邊的位­置，占了一個座位，因此，拍照下來投訴台鐵，台鐵表示，若民眾帶­貓狗搭乘火車，沒有依照規定將貓狗放入寵物箱中，可能會被罰款或­者拒載。
