My chef Heston alwasy call me a freak, the one full with ideas for cooking. I was born in Italy, a beautiful country with great respect to foods. cooking's always been a family thing to me since the very young age. my father, grandfater and great grandfather, they all chefs. so became a chef to me is something really natural. i have a great respect for food and the nature. like the quote of marco pierre white saying "mother nature is the true artist." thats what i have in my mind since the first day i started to cook. i like to cook my food very simply and allow the food speaks for itself. I believe we don't have to do too much to present our foods, just cook them very simply and allow them to show themself off. I first started my professional career at the age of 16. being a girl in the kichen is a super tough thing, believe me! boys they always belittle us. the pressure and bollocking, hard but yeah fun at the same time. i believe that ive proved myself that i am not worse than the boys and in fact i can do better than them. my experience at Dal Pescatore, Pierre Gagnaire, Gordon Ramsay and La Pergola says all. I'm now cooking at a restaurant called The Fat Duck in the UK as chef de partie. far from home but full of exciting. chef Heston Blumenthal is one of the greatest chef that i've ever met in my life, smart and crazy, thats how Heston is in my eyes. and hopefully, I will someday be as good as him.
PS: I worked once at the restaurant Gordon Ramsay, but I'm not a big fan of him. I love his passion but i hate how him damage our world of gastronomy by the way he persent himself on the TV. he's a hypocritical individual that i promise you the Gordon Ramsay you know is not the Gordon Ramsay in the world.
