I am a video artist. I create to send messages, to touch some part of each of my viewers. The subject matters are unique in the senses and forms that I choose to explore. I strive to reach the edges of the dark intimacy of life, experience, and sensation, and passion. Inspiration flows to me from music, specific emotions, censorship, happenstance, knowledge gained, and other artists.
My goal with each project is to forcefully gain access to each viewer's intellect and subconscious, to make them consider possible pathways or emotions that may make them uncomfortable. I aim to antagonize the audience in hopes to procreate more open-mindedness, to instill some form of personal enlightenment, and to be rid of ignorance. My work is dark in its nature, based on social constraints, unspoken traumas of life, censorships, abnormalities, and to achieve the ability to feel the extremes of emotions and free thought.
I chose video as my main medium because it is the most versatile art form to conclude all of my goals, as well as the only medium close to a reality that can show everything I want to portray. I prefer to showcase my work more so in the public eye over galleries in such places as nightclubs, television, and festivals because I feel it is a broader way to reach more of the populace. My main focus is single channel video, however I do branch into video installation, computer and web animation, and commercial work to help extend the message of the piece in a stronger way. Within all of my work, I wish to show the world my visions and thought and invite them to indulge in the intellect of humanity.
