Originally from southern California, then to Portland, Oregon where I "retired" and made my way to the middle of the armpit of China in Huarong, Hunan. I was a volunteer oral English teacher to 1,350 kids.
I had a brief interlude back in the States in the summer of '07, and in exercise of ultimate masochism, I decided to do the volunteer thing again.
Just got back from volunteering in Bangladesh, where I taught at the Asian University for Women's Access Academy. It's the first Uni of it's kind and it was the toughest job I've pushed my way through.
I'm now back in Portland, Oregon eating all kinds of organic food and drinking cups and cups of coffee.
