Wouldn't it make more sense to just create a crossing so that trains could also depart from platform 1 towards Exeter, instead of this complicated procedure to get to platform 2?
How do they cope on summer Saturdays when there are so many additional services to accommodate?

4:23 - Yes you arrive at terminal 2, if you stay on the train until the end. CDG has another station for terminals 1 and 3 that connect with the CDG transfer train, which is a lot quicker than going all the wat to terminal 2, only to then have to come all the way back.
