The National Election Watch (NEW), a network of about 1200 NGO's across the country, anchored by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), is engaged in helping voters make an informed choice. ADR has been conducting election watch activities for the past seven years all across the country. ADR was instrumental in securing the voter's right to know background information about candidates, via a historic Supreme Court judgment in 2003.
