Ohangla The Luo Warrior Dance

Ohangla is a warrior dance that is performed at every celebration or important occasion. The Luo consider that if one is peaceful it does not mean that any problems that invade his life are also peaceful. Therefore a Luo, whether man or woman is born a warrior. A warrior who must always remain brave, courageous and on the ready. A warrior who must always fight against famine, drought, disease or human enemies who dare attack him/her.
