This song rules! One of the best songs from the late seventies period. The ending is nuts with the crazy flute.

Really good job! Your cover version works even without the keyboard/guitar solo part. I also love how you replicated the truncated ending of the original.

    Soundgarden - Overfloater

From Down on the Upside album

    add2718 add2718 commented:

This is one of the very best Soundgarden songs. The way the "wanna make you right" part repeats and builds from 3:40 to 4:25 is one of the most intense sections of music I've ever heard. Soundgarden were/are something else.

I once dated someone who I tried to turn on to Tull and who said that this song is about drugs, the "hello breakfast, may I buy you again" lyrics referring to cocaine or whatever. I dumped her un-Tull-worthy ass on the spot.

I love the melancholy feel of the first half of this track. Captures a certain mood like no other song I've heard. This is one of two epic tracks on the shamefully underrated/overlooked Stormwatch album. This one is one of their most powerful songs, and it holds your attention for the full nine minutes. Barlow totally owns this track, probably his best drum work ever with the band. Bunker was a more powerful ...

To me this is one of the greatest hard rock tracks of all time. The solo at 1:35 is off the charts. Outstanding drumming, and I love how the cymbals are very prominent during the last chorus. Perfect, tight song.

This is the song off Secret Treaties that took me the longest to get into, but now I can't get enough of it. It does seem to owe a lot to the Doors' "Roadhouse Blues" though. Sounds like a very blues-oriented song at any rate. Last minute or so is great too, if ridiculous.

Jethro Tull- Back to the Family. Another great track from the album Stand Up. The ending is awesome, in my opinion.

    add2718 add2718 commented:

Everything that was great about the early (69-71) Tull period is right here... killer flute, hard drums, Martin's scorching guitar, and that "hard" sound that they lost after Aqualung but briefly regained for their masterpiece (in my opinion), Minstrel in 1975. Superb song.
