About Me:

During the early years of the glorius Clinton presidency, I left Colorado with ten cans of Trader Joe's Chili and hitched to California via I-40. Out on the highway, I saw the mystical coyote but wondered where her lifemate was? From there it took about five days coast to coast.

Before MASKARAVE I was a reformed jock, who drank a lot of beer and did some mountain bike racing. Awakening #1 was transformative in that it was my first exposure to House-Music and the Full Moons from Dallas & I learned to rotate my hips. It was a coming of age during the reign of Peter Gatien and the superclubs blah blah...

Somewhere along the road I started acting studies at Herbert Berghoff's Studios in the Village. After some time my efforts focued on voice instructin with Phillis Granby. Despite her trying to nudge me back towards acting, I knew Jim Morrison was #1 White Boy of all time for me.

During this time, I started dancing at clubs TUNNEL, PALLADIUM, and TWILO, mainly on weekends. Soon enough they were shut down due to bad behavior, back taxes, and Special K. I also started trying out for bands with the vocals, and ANIMAL MOTHER came together. We played C.B.G.B. After we broke up, many people would say,
"Andy went off the deep end," but I just kept dancing!

I also started making annual pilgrimages to New Orleans JAZZ FEST and Awakening #2 took place there at the Fairgrounds Racetrack - getting down & dirty with the Zydeco & Funk. I jokingly started referring to myself as "THERMAL BREAKDOWN" & "DELTA FORCE". Also started calling myself "The most widely photographed non-famous man in the whole world," because many folks seemed to be capturing me in one form or another. For many years during this, I manned the door at The(Starfucker)Hotel and adopted a military garrison mentality. But after hitting it with a notorius Wall Street party guy, ended up misbehaving in Stairwell B, but I just kept dancing! "The music took over" and I started dancin' strictly for duration & intensity! And now, hold the belief that since my run began, no one has danced longer and harder in New York than me.
