About this user
I support Zionism and Israel because of its many, many contributions to science, medicine, all forms of technology, and humanitarian causes. Without Israel YouTube might never have been created! (gasp! shock!) Israel also has what may be the best record in responding to humanitarian crisises the world over. See Http://www.britolam.org for just a taste of what Israelis do to help with these situations that the world largely ignores. I believe that the charges that Israel, or the U.S. for that matter, are racist, fascist, Nazi, or practice apartheid are 100% wrong and demonstrate a misunderstanding of all of those terms. Israel excersises more restraint given repeated provocation than any other country on Earth would. I do support the creation of a Palestinian state in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, but want to see the Palestinians earn that state through building an economy and infrastructure on their own and halting all incitements to violence against Israel and the West.
I do not believe that there is anything inherently wrong with Islam or with Arabs and Muslims, but I do believe that the greatest danger the world faces today is from the radical Islamists who make up Al Qaeda and similar groups, and who control Iran. The goal of these people is to establish a caliphate over the entire world. They must be stopped.
At least as important, if not far more important, is halting the genocide that is being perpetrated in Sudan and in the Congo. Both are underreported and nowhere near enough is being done to bring them to an end. The genocide in Sudan has lasted decades longer than we are told, which is only the more recent crisis in Darfur. The genocide in the Congo, despite being even more underreported than that in Sudan, is the SINGLE WORST HUMANITARIAN CRISIS THE WORLD HAS SEEN SINCE THE HOLOCAUST. If allowed to continue for much longer it may end up being worse than the Holocaust.
If you have read this far, and if you care about other people, do something about what is happening in Sudan and the Congo. Contribute to organizations that work to aid the victims. Lobby and write to your congresspeople that America should be doing more. When we all say "never again," lets show that we really mean it and not stand around like we were all guilty of during the genocide in Rwanda.
