I started collecting games back in 2007, when I found my old Super Nintendo in storage. After awhile, I visited my local pawn shop to see that they still carried SNES games, as well as games for other retro systems. It just kind of took off from there. Since then, I have acquired over 1000 unique games, and I have no plan of stopping soon.
