looks pretty cool. have you tested this in metropolis areas with tall buildings obstructing the gps signals? I am not using an iPhone currently, but the my phone (samsung omnia - pile-o-crap) has a horrible time handing gps here in Manhattan.

I don't think these are in the store yet despite the claims in the comment. I have looked and looked and neither app is to be found.

I believe these apps use Apple private APIs to manipulate the video in realtime. As a result they will have a hard time getting into the app store. However saying that Apple would be insane not to let them in. This way ahead of the competition. Also these are the kind of apps that would make me sell my 3G and get a 3GS.

This is a great demonstration of the new capabilities within the Apple iPhone! I would love to see something like this for the Washington DC Metro.
