I'm a self-taught acoustic guitar player and have been playing for quite a few years. I've played in a number of different churches; some short-term gigs and some longer-term, but other than that I don't have much "stage" experience.
I use an Alvarez RF20C Acoustic/Electric that my wife (at the time girl-friend) bought me back in 2001 or so. It's been used and abused, but I love it.
I am a Christian musician with a heart for Worship, specifically "flowing". While I probably will not upload any "flowing" sessions to Youtube because it wouldn't really be fitting, I will be adding such sessions (.mp3 format, not video) on my personal music site in the future (see the link below).
Biggest musical influence:
Even though I didn't have any formal (or informal) instructions when learning to play guitar, my former Youth Pastor, Rick Lopez, was probably the biggest influence in my playing style. He was actually the only guitar player over me for several years... I would have to assume that I picked up a lot of my style from him.
Favorite musicians (maybe in this order):
Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King, Fretkillr (on Youtube), Tommy Emmanuel, Steven Curtis Chapman and Darrell Evans
My videos are currently of not-so-great quality -- someday I plan to re-record some of them to change that.
I welcome any comments, suggestions or constructive criticism.
I just started my personal music website this month (January 2007). I will be adding .mp3 versions of my playing as well as additional stuff that I can't really share on Youtube.
