This is a re-upload of my Morgenrøde video made in 2010. The orginal video was flagged by some trolls and that caused much hassle to see the video. I have also improved the sound!

"Far Post" was first released on the soundtrack from the 1985 film, White Nights and later as a bonus track on the 2007 remaster of Robert Plant's 1982 album, PIctures At Eleven.
I first heard this song when I watched White Nights in the mid 80's and I just thought it was such an outstanding tune from Robert Plant. A friend later purchased the cassette of the soundtrack because she liked Phil Collins' "Separate Lives" and also thought it contained Lionel Richie's hit, "Say You, Say Me" (which was in the movie but not on the soundtrack). I about wore out that cassette fast forwarding/reversing to "Far Post"!
Pictures at Eleven is the only one of Plant's solo albums to appear on Led Zeppelin's record label Swan Song.
The vid is a pretty simple affair, just a reflection past covers from past Led Zeppelin and Robert Plant albums and a gear mask.
Hope you enjoy it!
[Lyrics} No talk of love between us some things better left unsaid talk of the plans through my head, through my head No talk of tears and pain it's been so long I really don't know your name it's the rules of the game Wheels keep a turning round and round years keep a spinning round and round No words assuring without a trace like the shadows in the sun. No room for fools who rush it's all been done. You've got new friends in new pools and you know they're putting troubles to the vote. Tied eyes, slow dance in the sunlight it's all a joke. Wheels keep a turning round and round years keep a spinning round and round With the passing of your time, though you seldom come to mind I remember the day Sure as winter follows fall, sure as maybe I will call, just remember the day. Far off the hazy day long gone the lingered glance Chill winds blow cold around the fire of love Farewell the call to arms, release the captive heart time's keeper clouds the skyline of the last resort. Wheels keep a spinning round and round years keep a spinning round and round With the passing of your time, though you seldom come to mind I remember the day Sure as winter follows fall, sure as maybe I will call, just remember the day.

My 7th video in a series I plan for some of my favorite songs from the past.
This Judas Priest ballad from their 1979 album Hell Bent For Leather (Killing Machine everywhere besides the U.S.) has always been one of my favorite songs. The guitar solo on this song is really beautiful.
Killing Machine is the fifth studio album by British heavy metal band Judas Priest, released in November 1978. The album saw Judas Priest head towards a more commercial style; however it did still contain the dark lyrical themes as heard in their previous albums. At about the same time, the band members adopted their now-famous "leather-and-studs" image.
Killing Machine was retitled Hell Bent for Leather for US release, as the US branch of Columbia/CBS did not like the "murderous implications" of the album title. "The Green Manalishi (With the Two-Pronged Crown)" an early Fleetwood Mac cover, was added to the running order in the US.
The album was remastered in 2001, with two bonus tracks added (three in the UK). The bonus track "Fight for Your Life" was the "original" version of Judas Priest's "Rock Hard Ride Free" from their Defenders of the Faith album. "The Green Manalishi (With the Two-Pronged Crown)" is considered a bonus track on the UK remaster, but a regular track on the US version.
In 2010, audiophile label Audio Fidelity released a limited-edition 24-karat gold CD of the album. Mastering was done by Steve Hoffman. This does not contain the bonus tracks from the 2001 edition.
This is the first Judas Priest album where Glenn Tipton incorporated the guitar technique of tapping into his soloing style. This is also the final album for drummer Les Binks who had joined the band in late 1977 for the recording of Stained Class, he is credited with helping develop the traditional Priest percussive sound.
Pretty sure the song is about a vampire, or at least that's what the song has always been about to me, so the lyrics were a good match for HBO's True Blood series.
The video is mostly masks and overlays of moons and clouds and one photo animated in After Effects...didn't do too much besides editing, keyframing, and assorted layer and masks effects.
Hope ya like it.
[Lyrics] Before the dawn, I hear you whisper In your sleep "Don't let the morning take him" Outside the birds begin to call As if to summon up my leaving
It's been a lifetime since I found someone Since I found someone who would stay I've waited too long, and now you're leaving Oh please don't take it all away
It's been a lifetime since I found someone Since I found someone who would stay I've waited too long, and now you're leaving Oh please don't take it all away
Before the dawn, I hear you whisper In your sleep "Don't let the morning take him"
