About Me:

In 1999 there was an opportunity to establish the first all European snowboard film to register on an international scale. A chance meeting at a San Diego screening, brought together Patrick 'Brusti' Armbruster (Onboard Magazine senior photographer) and Justin Hostynek (established film-maker and Snowboarder Magazine senior photographer). The following winter they collaborated on a 'European rider' based film, titled 'Tribal'. Expanding the scope of their projects to include the best riders from both Europe and North America they would go on together to establish Absinthe Films as a leading film production company in the industry and gain unique credibility in the snowboarding scene world-wide. The focus of Absinthe films has always been to present the highest level of progressive snowboarding to it's audience in a fresh, inclusive and engaging way. Focused on establishing new standards rather than keeping up with pack.

Our new "behind the scenes" format is Websinthe: look out for shows coming out all over the net in the near future. (First episode http://www.snowboardcanada.com/video_display/video:4141/Absolutely-Absinthe)

...I don't mean the websinthe episodes which are cool also but the look behind the scenes during filming is most interesting.

Glad to see Tristan is still living on through the movies.....His part in Vivid is still one of my all time favorites. I'm sure he was a solid dude, too. 12 was great, btw!
