About this user

Andrew Bowerbank is the President and Chief Strategy Officer for the EC3 Initiative, former Executive Director of the World Green Building Council, a certified professor of industrial design, and a member of the Ontario College of Teachers. Mr. Bowerbank operated his own design firm from 1993 to 2000 and is a published author recognized on Canadas "Best Sellers" list.

Mr. Bowerbank is a respected authority on green building design, environmental conservation and low-carbon economics. He enjoys speaking to professional audiences around the world and developing strategies for social, economic and environmental responses to climate change.

His main efforts today include: advancing the development of Green Building Councils worldwide and supporting the development of The Living City Campus just north of Toronto, Canada. In 2007, Mr. Bowerbank received the Leader of the Year award by EnerQuality Corporation and the Ontario Home Builders Association for his contributions to sustainable community development and green home design.

Mr. Bowerbank was recently voted Best Speaker at the 2008 New Zealand National Green Building Conference and at the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation 2009 Town Hall event. Mr. Bowerbanks energetic style combined with his use of high resolution graphics, photographs and animations make his presentations an event not to be missed.
